Institutions in Pakistan are prepared to handle any new Corona waves and variations.


Under the direction of Chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider, the National Disaster Management Authority met. Federal, and epidemic health officials, representatives from the meteorological department, the ministry of climate change, and others were present at the conference. 


The National Disaster Management Authority received a briefing from the National Institute of Health in Islamabad and NCOC. 


In their briefing to the ndma, NCOC officials stated that monitoring has been intensified at airports and entrance points and that intensive care units and other departments are operational in hospitals.

The genome of the coronavirus is being sequenced in labs in all four provinces and Islamabad, and since 90% of Pakistan's population has received vaccinations, the population is protected. ‎ 


The new variant's victims may have upper respiratory issues for a few days, according to NIH experts. 


The provision of ventilators, oxygen, and antiviral medications in hospitals for emergencies has been instructed.
